Choosing your big brake kit

Choosing the right big brake kit can feel overwhelming at first—especially if you know the performance you want but aren’t sure how to get there. Don’t worry! This page will guide you step by step, making it easy to spec out your perfect kit.

FAQ

Is this kit meant for track use only?
No! While our big brake kits are an excellent track upgrade, they also improve everyday braking performance and give your car a bold, aggressive look.

Do I need Ferro Racing brake pads?
Not at all. Our calipers are compatible with many trusted pad brands such as Brembo, EBC, and more. You can use the pads you prefer.

Spec Your Kit: Step by Step

1. Enter Your Car’s General Information

This helps us select the correct parts for your kit, including PCD, braided brake lines, and any custom mounting hardware. Ensuring a perfect fit is our top priority.

2. Enter Your Rim Size

Your rim size helps us make sure your kit fits perfectly inside your wheels. This mainly affects rotor size selection. Caliper size does not depend directly on rim size—smaller calipers can fit larger wheels, and we can adjust rotor size accordingly.

3. Standard or Customized Kit

You can choose to:

  • Keep the kit standard with F.R.O branding, ready to ship, or

  • Customize your kit. Customization carries a small additional charge, as it slightly increases production time.

4. Choose Your Caliper Colour

Select any caliper colour you like. This choice is purely aesthetic and does not affect performance.

5. Choose Your Rotor Pattern

Select the rotor pattern that best suits your driving style:

  • Curved Slotted: Smooth, consistent bite; ideal for spirited street driving and occasional track use.

  • Multi-Directional Slots: Aggressive heat and water management; great for performance street cars.

  • E-Slotted: Balanced performance and pad cleaning; perfect for street and occasional track driving.

  • Drilled: Quick heat dissipation and wet braking; best for sporty street use (not heavy track).

  • Drilled & Slotted: Maximum debris and heat removal; ideal for high-performance street or light track use.

  • J-Hook: Aggressive bite for track or extreme spirited driving; slightly faster pad wear.

6. Customize Your Caliper Branding

Choose how your calipers are branded:

  • Keep the F.R.O brand as standard

  • Upload your own logo for imprinting

  • Enter custom lettering

  • Leave calipers blank

Branding is entirely visual and does not affect performance.
